Goodbye dark spots. Farewell hyperpigmentation. You will not be missed. Purchased from Beauty Bay (£7.00 for 30ml), The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum is amazing! Formulated with 2% purified alpha arbutin and hyaluronic acid, it is a fragrance-free serum specifically developed to visibly target hyperpigmentation as well as dark spots. According to the brand, The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum is to be used in “the AM and PM”. Sun protection after use in the AM is also recommended. Due to my skincare regimen, I only used The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum in the AM. Did this effect the efficiency of the product? I don’t know but The Ordinary most definitely delivered with this serum!

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum is of a high viscosity (only in comparison to other serums). I am not a fan of the consistency as I prefer creams. Nevertheless, I am a fan of the glass dropper bottle; the pipette made application easy and clean. The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum absorbs effortlessly. However, it does leave your skin feeling quite tacky. This is why I always recommend using a serum before moisturising. Whilst the stickiness was annoying (as it is a magnet for lint), the results made my anguish worthwhile! The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum left my skin glowing. A week of daily use saw my dark spots fade and my complexion even. The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Serum is incredible and affordable; I just wish it didn’t leave my skin feeling icky.
