Founded by Richard Walker in 2012, Dr. Botanicals is a luxury vegan skincare brand, home to 100% natural products. The brand highly values being vegan as well as conscious, promising to only use vegan ingredients and biodegradable or recyclable materials where possible. Dr. Botanicals’ products are “not tested on animals and do not have animal ingredients in its composition”. A relatively new brand, I discovered Dr. Botanicals last year. I was on the hunt for a new face cream, something natural as well as perfect for oily skin. I purchased Dr. Botanicals Tropical Invigorating Cream and loved it. So, when Dr. Botanicals offered me the opportunity to try more, I could only accept. I was sent Dr. Botanicals Hemp Bio-Vitality Nutrition Oil, Dr. Botanicals Hemp Natural Super Enzyme Mask and Dr. Botanicals Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask. The following is an impartial review of the products.

Formulated with botanical extracts and hemp seed oil, Dr. Botanicals Hemp Bio-Vitality Nutrition Oil (£16.00 for 15ml) works to hydrate, nourish as well as balance dehydrated skin. My skin is pretty oily so I tend to avoid facial oils. However, I am always open to trying something new. Relatively fragrance-free, Dr. Botanicals Hemp Bio-Vitality Nutrition Oil left my skin incredibly soft and moisturised. Unfortunately, it failed to provide relief in regard to my oily skin. As I am not one to give up on a good quality product, I decided to try to use it to moisturise my lips instead. I am glad I made this call as Dr. Botanicals Hemp Bio-Vitality Nutrition Oil is a brilliant “lip balm”. Dr. Botanicals Hemp Bio-Vitality Nutrition Oil left my lips ever so smooth, soft and supple for days! I am surprised and impressed as I usually awake with chapped lips. I can only recommend you check out this versatile gem!

Infused with hemp seed oil and pomegranate enzymes, Dr. Botanicals Hemp Natural Super Enzyme Mask (£19.00 for 50ml) is formulated to regenerate as well as resurface the skin for a smoother, more youthful looking complexion. Dr. Botanicals Hemp Natural Super Enzyme Mask is creamy and somewhat fragrance-free. The consistency of the mask enables clean and easy application. I used Dr. Botanicals Hemp Natural Super Enzyme Mask as instructed, twice a week. Its effects are pretty instant. My face appeared brighter but I did not notice any change to the texture of my skin. I tend to prefer leave-on or peel-off masks but Dr. Botanicals Hemp Natural Super Enzyme Mask is a dream to use as it rinses off easily. If you desire a more radiant complexion, you should try Dr. Botanicals Hemp Natural Super Enzyme Mask.

Dr. Botanicals Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask (£19.00 for 50ml) works to gently cleanse as well as exfoliate. It is infused with charcoal powder and shea butter. According to Dr. Botanicals, charcoal powder aids in cleansing and exfoliating, mattifying skin, whilst shea butter delivers the upmost moisture, smoothing skin. I don’t know how I feel about this mask. It is my least favourite out of all of the products I was sent. Dr. Botanicals Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask is buttery. Its scent is light, it reminds me of clay. It applies to skin rather beautifully. Sadly, rinsing it off is a bit of a chore. Dr. Botanicals Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask most definitely tamed my oily skin but it also left my complexion dull and it failed to moisturise. If you are looking to temporarily control oily skin, check it out.

Overall, I am rather pleased and thankful. Dr. Botanicals’ products are of a high quality. I am a fan of the brand’s commitment to using natural vegan ingredients. I appreciate this as I enjoy making and using my own natural skincare (as well as haircare) products. I also wish to know what is in the products I use. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I was given to try these products and I will be purchasing more Dr. Botanicals products in the future.
