29 May Simple Cornrows for Dolls

Princess Tiana was in need of a new hairstyle as she was set to attend the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She wasn’t looking to hijack the bride’s special day so we went for something understated, simple cornrows. With the permission of Princess Tiana, I captured the process as I thought this would be a great opportunity to teach you how to cornrow your doll’s hair, using braiding hair/extensions! I am also aware of the love so many have for The Princess and the Frog.



You will need:

  • Patience.
  • Your client (a doll in need of a new hairstyle). I used Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Tiana.
  • Hairbands.
  • Scissors.
  • Kanekalon braiding hair (any brand will do).
  • A tail comb.
  • A hairbrush.
  • A safety pin.
  • A tiara (optional).

Everything you will need should be available via Amazon.
