Sharpie Tie-Dye?!

Sharpie tie-dye is a trend that comes and goes. Every now and then, I stumble across it on Instagram as well as YouTube. It is something I have been meaning to try. It looks pretty simple and it only requires two things; now, that’s my kind of DIY project! What could go wrong?! Well, if you know me, the answer is everything! My mini-me doll was in need of a new outfit. I decided to create something in line with my rainbow branding. My first experiment was a complete epic fail but I learned from it and created a success, which you can recreate or improve upon. I hope this video is entertaining as well as informative. Enjoy!

Equipment Used:

  • Patience.
  • Your client (a doll in need of a makeover). I used Barbie Fashionistas Doll 59 – Tropi-Cutie – Original.
  • A plain white t-shirt/top.
  • Sharpie fine point permanent markers.
  • Scrap cardboard.
  • Isopropyl alcohol.
  • A pipette.
  • A plastic container.
  • Rubber bands.
  • A craft knife.
  • An iron.

Everything you will need should be available via Amazon.
