This is a simple tutorial born out of curiosity; I had to see what Barbie Fashionistas Doll 82 – Chic In Chambray – Original looked like with long golden blonde hair (as well as braids). Learn how to reroot a bald doll with no hair plugs.



You will need:

  • Patience.
  • Your client (a bald doll in need of hair). I used Barbie Fashionistas Doll 82 – Chic In Chambray – Original.
  • 100% Acetone.
  • Cotton buds.
  • Hairbands.
  • Needles.
  • A needle handle/holder.
  • An 80 grit nail file.
  • Pliers.
  • Cutters.
  • Scissors.
  • Hair (synthetic or human, saran or kanekalon, any brand will do).
  • Glue (super, fabric or craft).
  • A tail comb or needle.
  • A hairbrush.
  • Metal cuffs, beads, etc. (optional).
